Privacy Policy griptools.io

Last Updated: February 6, 2018

Your privacy is very important to us. FRIESLAND AV is committed to respecting the privacy of its users and the visitors of this website. We reserve the right to change this policy, which we’ll do through online posting. We are very careful with what we do with your information.

The purpose of this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is to inform you what personally identifiable information or personal information we may collect from you when you use our application or visit this website, how we use such information, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to review and correct, the information.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the terms “we,” “us” and “our” refer to FRIESLAND AV. “You” refers to you, as a user of the griptools.io application or visitor to the website, as applicable. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings set forth in the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT. This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date last modified, as listed in above.

Information we collect

We collect information to provide better services to all Users of the Service.

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you give us. In connection with your use of certain features of the Service, we may ask for personal information, like your name and email address.
  • Information we get from your use of the Service. We may collect information about how you use the Application. This information includes:
    • Hardware Information. We may collect device-specific information (such as hardware model and operating system version).
    • Log information. When you use our Application, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a general audience Application and website, and do not direct any of our content specifically at children under 13 years of age. We understand and are committed to respecting the sensitive nature of children’s privacy online. If we learn or have reason to suspect that an Application or website user is under age 13, we will promptly delete any personal information in connection with that user.

How we use information we collect

We may use the information we collect from our Application and website to: (i) provide, maintain, protect and improve the Service, (ii) provide to you and communicate with you about your use of the Application or requests.

We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.

Protecting your information

We take the security of your personal information very seriously and have implemented policies and procedures, including technical measures, that are designed to help safeguard it. While we strive to use best practices to protect your personal information, the Internet and computer technology are not 100% secure and we cannot absolutely ensure the security of any personal information that you provide to us.

In line with this philosophy, we try to get as little information from you as possible. While we know your e-mail addresses and accounts, we do not know or collect the passwords for those accounts in readable form.

Accessing and updating your personal information

Whenever you use the Application, we aim to provide you with access and choice with respect to your personal information. If that information is wrong or you would like to change it, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. Information can be updated through the griptools.io store website or by sending us an email at the address listed below. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).

Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain the griptools.io application and website in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction.

Information we share

We may pass on your personal information to the appropriate authorities if we have a legal obligation to do so, or if we have to enforce the Electronic End User License Agreement for our software. This includes exchanging information with government departments and law agencies for legal reasons. We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. In all other instances, we may share your personal information with our partners and clients with your consent. For instance, if you have purchased our software, your data will also be stored outside of Europe by our sales partner FastSpring, where it could be viewed by our staff or suppliers. See FastSpring's Privacy Policy. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this.

We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of FRIESLAND AV, if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • enforce applicable EULA, including investigation of potential violations.
  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of FRIESLAND AV, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Your address details are required by FastSpring (our sales partner) as part of their Fraud Prevention & Detections measures. If you want to us to look up your order details online, you need to give us your order number; we will log in to FastSpring's server where your address details may be visible to our staff.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Deletion of Account

In the event you delete your data from griptools.io, or revoke access to your data, or delete your griptools.io account, your entire index as well as your authentication/password information is completely and permanently deleted from our servers, and we therefore do not have access to any of your data anymore.

Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies and organizations who advertise our Application and/or website, and who may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies.
